Keep Your Mental Health Positive By Using Metaphysical Principles

As an independent contractor, work-from-home, freelancer and/or remote worker, you know how important your health is. In many instances if you don't work you don't get paid. Therefore, it's vital to keep your health in optimal condition as much as possible.


What's more, you're probably not insured the same as those who work in the traditional sense as their health insurance is covered by their employer. Usually, working independently means taking care of your health insurance well, independently.


Still, health insurance is not what keeps you healthy.


Nonetheless, this post is not about health-insurance. This post is about metaphysical energies and how we must sustain our "mental health" in order to maintain our bodily health. Being a freelancer is already stressful enough. Add concern for your health and you could find yourself in a continuous worrisome mindset that will affect your overall health...and not in a beneficial way.


Don't confuse this post with "mental illness." I'm touching on something quite different.


I have my own views about health and the effects of "how we think" on a daily basis affects our overall health. however,


MENTAL HEALTH AND ITS METAPHYSICAL COMPONENTS

Here is an excerpt from an article that I found rather interesting. I am in no way affiliated with this organization nor am I implying that I agree with all of its content. However, I did find this paragraph balances very well with my thoughts on metaphysics and mental well-being:


"Our conscience, or mind, must acknowledge and make sense of all the thoughts, feelings, and sensations that arise. With the appropriate depth of perception, self-regulation and spiritual expertise, one can distinguish between them. In this way, mindfulness provides an innovative approach to treat mental health issues. By having awareness and a clear comprehension, one can pay attention with patience and care to what happens and try to resolve it accordingly."


With all that's taking place today, it's easy to get mentally fatigued. Our thoughts suddenly become lost in the malaise and onslaught of media reporting full of doom-and-gloom and fear on a daily basis. As a freelancer, you may or may not have various avenues of support to help you get through these unpredictable times. Fortunately, you don't need it.


Everything is within you. This is one reason I am so fond of the statement I used from the article. You see...we must be at the controls and those "controls" are in our thoughts. In order to do this, we need some type of inner balance. An inner peace that helps us make sense of it all or at least helps us to be at peace with it all regardless of the circumstances. Being at peace doesn't necessarily mean not taking action. It means that we can peacefully do what we need to do without the worry and fear.


If you consider yourself a "spiritual person" that's even better.


"Spirituality is a sense of connection to something bigger than ourselves—it helps a person look within and understand themselves while also figuring out the greater answer of how they fit in to the rest of the world. In other words: It helps people understand their interpretation of the meaning of life.


Spirituality also incorporates healthy practices for the mind and body, which positively influences mental health and emotional wellbeing. " -NAMI


There is no greater time than NOW to make sure that you practice mental strength in order to get through this point-in-time and for whatever lies ahead. If you can keep yourself together mentally you find that everything else will fall into place with minimal to no suffering when going through difficulties.
